Joint Account Calculator
Work out how much each person should pay into the joint account after rent, medical aid, school fees, groceries, and personal debit orders are already being paid by one partner.
1. Income and Split Method
Use net monthly income. For many couples, proportional to income is fairer than forcing a 50/50 split.
2. Shared Bills and Current Payments
Add each shared bill and mark who currently pays it. Choose "Joint account" for bills already coming off the shared account.
| Expense | Amount | Currently paid by | Notes |

Example: if medical aid is a debit order from the husband's bank account, set "Currently paid by" to that partner. The calculator credits that person before calculating joint account top-ups.

Why This Belongs on PaidProperly
The real question is not only "what is fair?" It is "what cash actually moves this month?" This calculator handles both: it keeps existing debit orders visible, then tells each person what they still need to transfer into the joint account.
